Real CPR Help technology

The AED 3 is equipped with ZOLL’s proprietary Real CPR Help technology that informs rescuers if they are doing compressions at the most effective depth and rate. Aside from displaying a CPR cycle timer and color bar gauge indicating the compression depth, a calm voice prompt also informs rescuers if they are doing “Good Compressions” or if they need to “Push Harder”. This voice guide will also tell rescuers to pause while it completes a heart analysis, and it will alert you if a shock is needed or if CPR should be resumed until emergency personnel arrive. The intuitive, real-time feedback precisely guides rescuers in every step.

Intuitive Touch Screen Display

In addition to real-time CPR feedback, the Zoll AED 3 displays full color images with text and touch screen capabilities. Aside from instant access to AED information, it allows for easy configuration without the need for additonal devices or software.

Integrated child mode

To make prompt medical response available to SCA victims of all ages, the AED 3 has an integrated child mode that can be activated with a press of a button. The child mode features a special algorithm that delivers child-appropriate treatment without the need for an attenuator. The highly durable Uni-padz (universal electrode pads) can be used for both adult and pediatric patients so that no time is wasted in switching the pads.

Wi-Fi capability and smart battery ensure readiness

The battery of AED 3 displays its power level status on the LCD screen or to your AED program management software via Wi-Fi. It can also send email alerts for maintenance notifications. This makes it easier to check the device’s readiness in case of an emergency. Wi-Fi also enables the device to quickly transmit cardiac arrest event data to medical professionals.

Automatic shock option

The AED 3 Defibrillator is available in a Semi-Automatic and Automatic Model. With the Semi-Automatic Model, the rescuer will have to press the “shock button” to initiate shock mode when necessary. On other hand, the Automatic Model's shock mode is automatically done by the device without intervention from the rescuer.
