A silicone gel adhesive hydrocellular foam dressing incorporating the unique triple-action Allevyn technology for use on low to moderately exuding wounds. Suitable for use on fragile skin as the silicone gel adhesive allows the dressing to be changed with minimal pain to the patient and trauma to the wound.
Indications
Allevyn Gentle Border Lite is indicated for wound management by secondary intention on shallow, granulating wounds, chronic and acute low-exuding wounds full and partial thickness wounds including:
- Skin tears.
- Pressure ulcers.
- Diabetic foot ulcers.
- Leg ulcers.
- Fungating wounds.
- Infected wounds.
- Malignant wounds.
- Surgical wounds.
- Donor sites.
- First and second-degree burns.
Precautions
Do not use Allevyn Gentle Border Lite dressing with oxidizing agents such as hypochlorite solutions (e.g. EUSOL) or hydrogen peroxide, as these can break down the absorbent polyurethane component of the dressing. If reddening or sensitization occurs discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
