Description
S3 Balance® is constructed of high density steel with a working capacity of 600 pounds. It features adapting, non-skid feet to promote stability without marking floors; a 41-inch base for maximum safety and portability; streching pegs for advanced training with 5 hooks for band attachment; 270-degree curved handlebar. The S3 is also a portable transfer tool that improves user strength and virtually eliminates multi-person transfers/hydraulic lifts. When not in use, devices stack like shopping carts.
S3 Balance (“S3”) serves 3 key functions:
- Transfer device: any facility that transfers people from sitting to standing and/or supine to sitting should have multiple S3 devices as it’s easily moved, fastest to use and improves strength/independence with every use.
- Standing exercise device: any facility that manages fall risk should have multiple S3 devices for group classes and individual use, as S3 has been shown to reduce fall risk up to 1,750% using the “wobble” technique. See Trial Summary.
- Portable gym: S3 has 5 attachment hooks for its custom strength bands to facilitate upper and lower body exercises in standing or sitting. Ideal for OT/PT, group exercise and rehabilitation.
