The McKesson Consult FOBT test is a fecal occult blood test designed to detect the presence of blood in stool specimens. It uses guaiac impregnated paper, which allows for greater sensitivity for early detection of even small amounts of blood in the stool. If blood is present, a blue color quickly develops for easy to interpret results. The slides have two sample sites for improved detection of positive results, as well as positive and negative monitors to help ensure the proper performance of the slide and developer. McKesson's extra sensitive test offers a more vivid color development for even greater readability.
