Description
A soft, highly absorbent (absorbs more than 14 times its weight) dressing that quickly forms a hydrophilic gel to protect and cover the wound bed. Holds together wet or dry. While many alginates dissolve, this dressing keeps its form so it's easy to remove, generally in one piece. Latex free.
Features
- Sorbalgon contains calcium alginate fibers and polysorbate.
- When in contact with sodium salts, as found in wound exudate, the fibers become gelatinous creating a moist wound environment.
- For use with moderately to heavily exuding wounds.
