Sterile syringe filter for difficult-to-filter samples
Cytiva's business also offers nonsterile Whatman GD/X syringe filters.
Cytiva's GD/X sterile syringe filter is suitable for preparing viscous, dense, or otherwise hard-to-filter samples prior to a variety of analytical methods.
Sterile GD/X syringe filters combine a polypropylene housing, Whatman GMF 150 and GF/F pre-filter media, and one of the following membrane materials:
- Polyethersulfone (PES).
- Polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF).
- Cellulose acetate.
- Glass microfiber.
Features
- Reduces the need for multiple syringe filters by processing three to seven times more sample volume than syringe filters without prefilters.
- Female Luer lock for leak-free connections.
- High-efficiency Whatman GMF 150 and GF/F pre-filter media.
- Eliminates or greatly reduces the need to carry out separate prefiltration steps for difficult-to-filter samples.
