This urine analyzer starter pack gives you a complete urinalysis testing station in a single box. The benchtop analyzer uses reflectance photometry to read proprietary urinalysis test strips, reporting semi-quantitative results for glucose, bilirubin, ketone, specific gravity, blood, pH, protein, urobilinogen, nitrite, and leukocytes. Automatic calibration runs against an internal white reference area before every reading, so you are not stopping to calibrate manually or second-guessing color matching by eye. A color touch screen walks you through each step, and results print on the built-in thermal printer the moment the run finishes.
The bundle removes the usual startup gap between receiving an instrument and testing your first sample. You get 1,000 test strips and a box of Level I and Level II controls, enough to complete initial quality control and move straight into routine testing. The included barcode reader captures strip lot and ID information without manual keying, and the analyzer blocks testing when it detects an expired lot or a strip whose reagent pads have been compromised. Onboard memory holds 2,000 results that you can search by ID or date, print, or send to a PC or LIS when configured. The analyzer is locked to the manufacturer's proprietary 10-parameter urinalysis strips. Third-party strips trigger an incorrect strip type error and will not produce a result. Ten bottles are included with this pack.
A CLIA Certificate of Waiver is required to perform testing. You can apply through the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services using Form CMS-116. Testing outside labeled instructions is considered high complexity.
The system prompts for quality control every 30 days or every 100 tests, whichever comes first. Testing locks out until a control run passes. Both control levels are included in this pack.
Results transfer to a PC, host computer, or LIS through the USB-C data port when configured. Onboard memory retains 2,000 results that you can also search, review, and reprint.
