So far, the OxyGo Next is a fine product. I received it on Monday, November 14, 2022. I navigated through the set up guide. It was not difficult to mount the battery to the concentrator. I like that the device is lightweight. I also like that the car charger is a two ended wire without the big transformer box in the middle of the cord. My health plan provided me with a cumbersome SimplyGo with a faulty battery. I complained to them. I asked if there is any type of assistance if I were to buy this lightweight and easily portable device. They said I could file a grievance after purchase and see what happens. I don’t know if I will pursue that. I ultimately made the decision to purchase the OxyGo Next as a matter of personal safety. Several times when I had to attend to appointments, the battery of the SimplyGo dropped to one bar (I could not locate the percentage remaining indicator). One time it completely died as I was walking back to my car. I like that the OxyGo Next machine shows both the bars for the battery life and the remaining percentages of battery life. I was gasping for breath while returning to my car because I had severely desaturated. It was then after I got home I began searching for a lightweight and portable device and my search took me to MDMaxx website. I did compare to the Inogen. They seemed very similar. The OxyGo Next seemed a better value to me.
I bought this machine and used it when I went on vacation. It’s easy to use, lightweight, and reliable. It comes with a single battery but if your using a higher liter of O2 the battery goes quicker so I highly recommend the double batteries. I’d definitely buy this machine again.
